Amy Bayne is a freelance writer, visual artist, and veteran educator who lives in Virginia. 

She was the editor in chief, designer, and publisher of Fredericksburg Literary and Art Review (FLAR) from 2015 through 2018. She was an organizing partner of the Fredericksburg Independent Book Festival for its first three seasons. 

Bayne has written poetry, creative fiction, nonfiction, educational content for Newspapers in Education, and journalistic features for over twenty years. Her features work and interviews have appeared in Fredericksburg Parent Magazine, The Health Journal, and Front Porch Magazine. 

As an educator, Bayne earned consulting status for the Northern Virginia Writing Project. 

Her photography and visual art have been shown publicly since 2013, much of which may be viewed on this website. 

She lives in the Virginia countryside with her wife Leah and a menagerie of animals.
